An extravagant and dramatic Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche 1980s statement piece in a crunchy silk taffeta of the most glorious deep burgundy tonic hue has a large spread collar / lapel, faceted black glass buttons, and a big puffed sleeve gathered onto a deep cuff. Since there are no buttons on the cuff, I think this qualifies as a leg o mutton sleeve! It hits at the wrist but can be pushed up to the elbow. The size is (French) 36, and, though it may appear large with those big sleeves, it really isn't. Note: the bottom button is missing, which is reflected in the price. Otherwise it's immaculate.
Measurements: bust 34", shoulder 15", length 36"
STORY: From my favorite haute vintage haunt in the Palais Royale, Paris. I wore it but once, poor thing.
