FROM ALISON ATTENBOROUGH'S CLOSET
A fantastic black label Helmut Lang calfskin and ribknit fencing style jacket from I think it was 2003, but don't shoot me if I'm off a few years; the main thing is it's by The Man Himself. It's a zip-up jacket in supersoft calfskin, the zipper extending to a high neck and down to a fencing-like point in front. The sleeves are black ribknit wool, out of a leather capsleeve, are extra long and feature removable button-on elastic thumb loops. There are curved front pockets and one inside pocket. Lined (not the sleeves), and very very cardi-comfortable. Made in Italy, size 42, fairly snug fitting.
Measurements: Length 24", Bust 34", Shoulder 15", Sleeve 27"
STORY: My most Fashion-Fashion friends tell me this is incredibly rare and valuable and I should sell it and I always do what they tell me to do. No I don't. But I only wore this about once, before I realized it's not me, however much I admire it. Yes I'm obsessed with early Helmut Lang.
