A black satin and lace 1980s structured skater dress that's a beautifully made fancy designer piece from the 1980s--and it looks really right again. This is in a heavy smooth black satin, not too sheeny, that's boned in the bodice. Then there's a stretch black lace scoop neck, cap sleeved top. It's fully lined--aside from the lace parts, does up with a 21" back zip, and the skirt is stiffened with three layers of black netting. The designer is called Helen Kanawati, and the official size is 10, which I guess is Australian 10, which means I don't know what. The thing to watch is the bust. You are better off if flat.
Measurements: waist 26", bust 32", length 32", shoulder to waist 16" , across shoulder 14"
STORY: I got it in Australia. Vintage is super expensive in Australia. But I really wanted something, and I fell hard for this. Got it home and it didn't look right at all. Still love it though.
