Comme des Garçons Deconstructed Jacket

FROM KATE SEKULES'S CLOSET

A wild wild collectible Comme des Garcons piece from 2006... A royal blue-on-white paint-smudge print acetate is pieced onto a white silk chiffon body, with bracelet length sleeves. It's pulled together with a self buckled belt with two rows of grommets, fed through three belt loops. Made in Japan. Size M, but its nature is such that it could fit anyone.

Measurements: Bust (from side seam to side seam) : 32" laying flat and relaxed; 42 stretched out. Waist 26" - 30" according to how tight belt is buckled.  Shoulder 14". Sleeve (Top of shoulder seam to cuff) : 22". Length (Top of the shoulder, at the collar, to hemline) : 31.5"

STORY This was the star piece of a small collection I acquired from one of the first ever ReFashioner fans--I think she'd read a NY Times Style magazine story that mentioned I'm a CDG nut, and wanted her unworn pieces to go to a loving home. And they did. And yet, I am not the right home for this piece. I love it to bits, it's crazy, and I have a horrible feeling that as soon as I've parted with it, that's when I'll realize it's exactly what I most need (won't be the first time). But it ought to be worn (I don't think it ever has been), not admired in captivity in my fashion zoo.
