Why did I choose the original gun moll as my style avatar when I absolutely loathe guns? Two words: Faye Dunaway. Three more: Theadora Van Runkle-- the costume designer who forever gave us the beret, sweater, neckerchief look, and made us think of this Texan accomplice (she never shot anyone) as a fashion plate. She really wasn't. But Faye Dunaway was, and the style we think of as hers is what I like, so I'm cheating. But hey I really am from Dallas.
