FROM ALISON ATTENBOROUGH'S CLOSET
An unusual Balenciaga top from the 1990s early-Nicolas Ghesquière era, this is made in a stretch acetate jersey that's so silky and cool. The stripe is in gorgeous colors that aren't seen at their best here: silver gray and blackcurrant, offset by black at the edges, over half the back, and on the deep U-neck. There's a double layer inside to help the fit, the hem dips low to the right, there are slits to each side, and raglan sleeves. Made in France, size 42. Very stretchy but looks best when it's not pulled too tight.
Measurements: Length 24" in back, 31" at lowest point in front, Bust 34", waist 28" (unstretched), sleeve 27"
STORY: I fell in love with the colors, and I do love a stripe. But this really doesn't suit me.
