Topshop London had a run on these dazzling gold foil jeans a few years ago. No idea why they didn't repeat them, but so far they haven't. They are more comfortable than you'd think, the gold being applied to quite supple and soft cotton--and yes you can machine wash them (inside out). They're 67% cotton, 30% polyester, 3% elastane. Size is US 6, Waist 28, length 32.
STORY: from the glory days of Topshop which I fear are long past now. I had to have these (and another pair in fuchsia), but never managed to wear them.
