Straight out of superfly land, circa 1973, here's a dark denim blazer and pant--it doesn't have to be a suit--with chestnut tipping and pocket detail. The binding looks exactly like leather but it's actually cotton. Jacket has a wide curved lapel, two slanted front pockets, two-button close, single vent. The pants are wide-legged with a 24" flare, two front pockets, and a zip fly. Made in Hong Kong, 100% cotton, officially size 12, but that's an English vintage 12: about a modern small 6. Measurements:
Jacket: Shoulder 15" seam to seam, length 26", chest 36"
Pant: waist 30", hip 38", outside leg 43", inside leg 31.5" (with a 1.5" hem you could let out).
STORY: A score from my secret London source (I'll never tell), and I really thought I'd wear this one. I'm all about the suit. But turns out I'm a slob: more about the slouchy pant with low elasticated waist.
