Biggest Pink Tutu In The World

FROM LADY STARLIGHT'S CLOSET

You have never seen a more extravagant skirt, it really is the biggest pink flounce crinoline tutu In The World. It is from the 1950s, the only era it could ever be seriously considered appropriate. And see that advert from a 1956 magazine! They were a Thing. And as the ad says, this, believe it or not, IS washable, though I'm not sure it's made of Duralon. It's "100% nylon exclusive of trim", and the trim is cotton-- the elasticated waistband and top of the skirt which is 5" deep. It looks stiff in the photos but there's a lot of movement and it feels soft to wear--no getting stuck in doorways. There are only two layers though it looks like about 18. Each layer has four tiers, all of them gathered to an inch of their lives with the final effect of a horizontal demented ballerina tutu that is almost knee length. It's hard to measure this but...

Measurements: waist 28", stretches to 40", length 24", depth of each tier 4"

STORY: I wore this every single night on Gaga's Born This Way tour. It would also fall off every night. Fun fact.
