An utterly precious never-worn 1960s mod minidress with a drop waist, shaped bodice with piping on the seams, a gently pleated skirt, puffed sleeves and a magnificent white spread collar with integral black loose long necktie. Fastens with a 21" metal zipper up the back. The colors of the Pop Art butterfly, dot, stripe and flower print are wonderful: white with tomato red and two shades of vivid blue. All tags are on: Mr Lester, Dallas, and the original hangtag that states "This is Kettlecloth, a Concord Fabric"--explaining on the back that it's 50% cotton, 50% Fortrel Celanese Polyester "the fiber that keeps its promise" (though what, exactly, it has promised is not stated). It has a crisp hand, with some body. Not sure how it'll come out after washing or dry cleaning, but one has to assume it might lose some of its starched feel. Even then, it would be quite marvelous. The pattern speaks for itself.
The size is "9" which makes little sense, but is around a modern 2/4.
The measurements are bust 35", waist 30", length 32".
STORY: Oh how I love LOVe this little darling. I got it even though it would look completely ridiculous on me, even if I could fit into it. Which I maybe can't. Honestly I haven't even tried. I just love looking at it on the hanger. It's quite possible NObody has ever tried this on. Ever since Mr Lester of Dallas gave birth to it.
