This is the most acceptable face of the turn-of-the-1980s suit, and in fact was the glorious era of Ralph too. A perfect, curvy skirt and blazer in black and white check--the official name is Shepherd Tartan--light suiting of 51% wool, 49% rayon, both pieces fully lined in black acetate, by the younger line, Ralph Ralph Lauren. The jacket has a high lapel with four button placket and no vent, and a trio of patch pockets with flaps. The pencil skirt is lightly gathered in back and has four 6" kick pleats in front. Size 6.
Measurements: Skirt: waist 24", Hip 36", length 23"; Jacket Bust 36", Waist, 30", Length 26", shoulder 16", sleeve 24"
STORY: I was all about the suit for some years, and invested in many very lovely ones. This one was a favorite.
