Collectable Helmut Lang Moleskin Peacoat

FROM ALISON ATTENBOROUGH'S CLOSET

Great example of 1990s heyday-Helmut tailoring, this is a totally collectable peacoat-style jacket in moleskin: a substantial brushed cotton that almost feels like felt. It's got a four-button close, assymetrical, covered by placket and closes to a shirtstyle collar, which can be left open, or looks great popped. Four (non functioning) buttons at the cuff, fully lined, no vent, the left hand pocket is still stitched closed. Made in Italy, size 44, fairly snug fitting.

Measurements: Length (shoulder seam to hem) 29", Bust 34", Shoulder 16", Sleeve 25"

STORY: I was obsessed with Helmut Lang. I still am, but only the real stuff from when the man himself was in charge. Everyone copied him, he really was the first and best minimalist. This was my wedding coat (!) It became a little tainted for me after that.
