An elegant number in a fun floral and lace print, clearly designed specially for this silhouette and beautifully pieced together. The colors are so Seventies: chestnut brown, two teals and tan on a beige ground. There's a spread collar, three buttons and a hook and eye in front (no zipper), buttoned cuffs, and it's fully lined in a plain version of the same fabric. The skirt is gently pleated and there's a tie self belt. No fabric or size (or brand) labels, but it's polyester and the care label says to machine wash and line dry. It's about a size 6.
Measurements: waist: 29", bust 38", length 41", shoulder 15", sleeve 25".
STORY: As you can see in the note she wrote (a photocopy of which comes with the dress), Marie wore this in 1976 for family photos in Aurora. (We're trying to find the photos!)
