A sweetly romantic quintessentially Seventies maxi dress in a fun (and bang on-trend) print that's a patchwork of various versions of bandana in white and black on a burgundy that's veering into brown. The fabric is also typically 70s: ie it's not natural fiber, but a light polyester. The dress has floaty bell sleeves, extra long, asymmetrical and finishing in a ruffle, a v-neck, back zipper, empire waist and a half belt that ties in the back. Bonus! This comes with a pretty ivory nylon long slip with deep lace inset. It isn't part of the dress, but is practically a dress in its own right.
STORY: As with all Marie's pieces, this come with (a photocopy of) the note she wrote to remind herself where she wore it. This she wore only once for the most special of occasions: in 1978, Aurora Colorado, for her daughter's wedding: the daughter (she had seven kids) who would become the mother of Erin, who eventually was to put her grammy's best clothes here on Refashioner.
