Vintage Kimono or Dressing Gown

FROM ALISON ATTENBOROUGH'S CLOSET

A kimono that really is best worn as a dressing gown, though you can style it as here, and definitely turn some heads. It's in a crepe fabric that could well be silk, but I cannot be sure, and it's lined in plain off white cotton. No fastenings, no labels. There's a tiny hole on the lower right side and a few faint stains to the lining. For some reason I am convinced this is early-1960s. I could be wrong, but I am sticking to that.

Measurements: Length 48", chest 42", Sleeve drop 18"

STORY: I got it, along with the other one listed here, in Tokyo, thinking it would be my new everyday dressing gown. It never caught on.
