Romantic Chiffon 1970s Maxi Dress

FROM MELISSA CLARK'S CLOSET

A very lovely romantic gown in a salmon pink, beige, burnt orange and navy multi floral print with the same colors in stripes at the waist and in a deep band at the hem. Though it looks like cotton, it's in fact a chiffon fabric doubled at the bodice, and over a nylon jersey underlayer in the skirt--it's opaque in effect. Zips up the back to the waist and has a keyhole back with a halter-like arrangement, fastening at the neck with two self buttons and a deep V in front. There is a slight fraying in one part of the hem, shown here, but not noticeable at all.  No remaining tags! It's about a size 4. Measurements:

Length 59", Bust 34", Waist 26"

STORY:  This belonged to my aunt who was QUITE the fashion plate in the 1960s and 70s. I know this one is some very fancy designer, since I once saw it online for $395--but of course I can't now find it.  Your gain! It's so pretty and floaty, and I've wanted to wear it often--but it's just not me.
